This project for Rockingham County will address its Courthouse, Jail, Law Enforcement Center and Emergency Services needs. The Courthouse is programmed to be 98,000 square feet; the Jail is programmed for 52,500 square feet with beds for 222 inmates (300 core); and, the Law Enforcement Center is programmed for 21,000 square feet. The Emergency Services Buildings is under construction. When completed, this facility promises to become the first LEED Certified Courthouse in North Carolina.
